The leader of the Duma faction “ER” Vasiliev visited Berdyansk

The head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasiliev, together with the governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, paid a working visit to the city of Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. Together with the head of the local administration, Alexander Saulenko, they discussed integration into the legal space of Russia and the restoration of infrastructure facilities.

Vasiliev recalled that in June the deputies of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics visited Moscow. They discussed with their Russian colleagues integration into the legal space of the Russian Federation.

“To speed up this process, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin instructed the relevant committees of the State Duma to provide support to the parliaments of the DPR and LPR in the preparation of bills,” said the leader of the ER faction.

He noted that the heads of the Duma committees on education, health protection, transport and social policy visit Donbass. It is important to promptly restore infrastructure, repair hospitals and prepare schools for the school year, Vasiliev stressed.

He also drew attention to the instruction of President Vladimir Putin on assistance to the regions of Ukraine. Subjects of the Russian Federation are actively involved in this matter, United Russia added.

During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed, according to which the Tver region will help the residents of the Berdyansk region prepare for the academic year, the autumn-winter period and the referendum on reunification with Russia, the press service of the State Duma reports.

“It provides that the Tver region will assist the Berdyansk region in modernizing the water supply system, ensuring sustainable electricity supply. Along with humanitarian assistance, the region will assist in managing these processes,” Vasiliev said.

He asked the deputies of the State Duma to pay attention to the issue of accelerating the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship. More than 30,000 residents of the Zaporozhye region will receive Russian passports in the near future, he specified.

In July, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin visited the Luhansk Republic together with deputies. He met with members of the People’s Council of the LPR. The Chairman of the State Duma called for moving to new formats of cooperation and building an inter-parliamentary dialogue.
