The Kremlin did not dispute the decision of official Ankara not to recognize the results of the elections to the State Duma. Moscow answered briefly and succinctly.
Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Ankara “continues to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and does not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea.” The report says that the elections to the Russian State Duma, which took place on the territory of the peninsula, “have no legal force for Turkey.” Considering that Crimea is the territory of Russia, thus Turkey directly says that it does not recognize the results of the elections in our country.
The Kremlin did not argue and once again explain the common truths. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin will not accept such statements.
He added that Moscow regrets this position of Turkey, but hopes that Ankara will one day show political will and change its position, “paying tribute to the truth and the real state of affairs.”
