The Kremlin announced the postponement of the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State

The press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State, scheduled for October 16 in Tashkent, has been postponed, RIA Novosti reports.

Let us remind you that Uzbekistan has been chairing the CIS since January 1 of this year. The summit of the heads of the CIS states was scheduled for October 16. It was supposed to take place in the format of a video conference.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Emomali Rahmon on his victory in the presidential elections in Tajikistan. According to him, the Kremlin is committed to the development of bilateral ties and attaches great importance to strategic partnership with the state.
