Dmitry Peskov again answered the question about the deputy of Shoigu and Lavrov, expressing the position of the Kremlin.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov again answered the question of journalists about the continuation of the careers of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Will they accept the Duma mandate?
Peskov’s answer did not differ from the previous version: “I don’t know, you have to ask them that.”
Earlier, sources said that Shoigu and Lavrov would refuse mandates. There is no confirmation of the information by this hour. Recall that the CEC of Russia, summing up the results of the elections, said that the victory was won by the United Russia party, taking 324 mandates. This is followed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – 57 mandates, after “Fair Russia – For the Truth” – 27 mandates, “New People” – 13 mandates.
The five leaders on the United Russia list included Sergei Shoigu, Sergei Lavrov, as well as the head physician of the Kommunarka hospital, Denis Protsenko, the children’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova, and the ONF headquarters co-chair Elena Shmeleva. It is not yet clear which of them will take the Duma mandate.
