The investigation of the criminal case of Navalny’s ally accused of distributing pornography due to the Rammstein video has been completed

The investigation of the criminal case of the coordinator of the Arkhangelsk headquarters of oppositionist Alexei Navalny Andrey Borovikov about the distribution of pornography has been completed. He stated that he had signed a document on the completion of the investigation.

On October 15, Borovikov will study the case materials. The trial, he said, will be held around the end of November, Interfax reports.

The criminal case opened against Andrei Borovikov became known on September 29. They came to his home with a search, seized all the equipment (two laptops and two telephones), and after interrogation he was released on his own recognizance. He said that the reason for initiating the case was the clip Pussy of the Rammstein group, which he posted on the VKontakte social network in 2014.

As the activist's wife Darya Borovikova told, before that, as part of other cases, the security forces confiscated four more laptops from them, which they never returned.

The headquarters, referring to the decision to bring Borovikov as an accused, reported that claims arose against him, since the activist did not restrict access to this video. And the video itself Borovikov allegedly posted "with the aim of bringing to the public view of cynical, vulgar, without artistic, cultural value materials containing images of genitals, sexual intercourse, as well as for the purpose of illegal distribution and public display of pornographic materials."

On September 4, 2020, the Oktyabrsky Court of Arkhangelsk fined Borovikov 4,000 rubles under an administrative article on drug propaganda (Article 6.13 of the Administrative Code). The reason was a copy of the video for Decl's song "Legalize" in the social network "VKontakte".

In September 2019, a court in Arkhangelsk sentenced Borovikov to 400 hours of compulsory work under the "Dada article" (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code - repeated violation of the rules for holding public events).
