On June 15, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the security of all of Europe depends on whether Ukraine survives the fight against Russia, writes MK. Therefore, he called on Western countries to increase the volume and pace of arms supplies to Ukraine.
“Regarding the armed confrontation with Russia, the message was loud and clear: Carthage will be destroyed! Nobody will stop us! The security of the entire Euro-Atlantic space is in our hands. But these arms need more heavy weaponry,” he tweeted.
It is worth noting that Stoltenberg warned Kyiv about the need to prepare for long-term military operations. At the same time, he also said that NATO would begin to transfer the Armed Forces of Ukraine into service with NATO. This is due not only to the fact that the stocks of Soviet-style weapons in NATO countries are gradually drying up, but also to the fact that then it will be easier for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to supply weapons and ammunition, since the armies of the bloc countries have uniform standards.
