The head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, said that Kiev is already ready for an attack on the Donbass, so the DPR is preparing for the worst-case scenario and protecting the civilian population.
“Everything depends on the political decision or on how strong the pressure from the West will be,” the politician said, speaking on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
According to Pushilin, the military of the unrecognized republic is now working to find out what weapons they might need if the Russian Federation approves the supply of weapons.
He stressed that the possible supply of Russian weapons is very significant for the Donbass.
Earlier, Secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrei Turchak announced the need to supply certain types of weapons to the LPR and DPR in order to increase the defense capability of these regions.
