Grandfather Mariam Tillyaeva Islam Karimov died on September 2, 2016, and on her pages in social networks she recalled this sad date for her family and the entire Uzbek people.
Mariam said that September for the citizens of Uzbekistan is forever associated with two polar events.
“These two days are quite difficult for us, since September 1st is the Independence Day of Uzbekistan, and September 2nd is the anniversary of my grandfather’s death. Islam Karimov led the country for 27 years and, thanks to his contribution to the development of the republic, won great people’s love, which remains to this day. So, September 1 to 4 are non-working days in our country.”
Mariam Tillyaeva reinforced her memories with childhood photographs, in which she was captured with her grandfather at home.
Here, little Mariam communicates at ease, dances and poses with Islam Abduganievich and Tatyana Akbarovna Karimova.
Subscribers could not contain their emotions and left many touching comments under the publication: “The great son of the Uzbek people”, “Forever in our hearts”, “He is indeed the grandfather of all the people of Uzbekistan. Very kind, wise and strong ruler. These are born once in a century.
