The government will allocate 4.7 billion rubles to support millers and bakers

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of funds to partially compensate producers of flour, bread and bakery products for the cost of purchasing grain and selling finished products.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, it is planned to allocate 4.7 billion rubles for these purposes, of which 2.9 billion rubles will be spent on the purchase of milling wheat, and 1.8 billion rubles – to pay compensation to bakeries.

The funds will go to regional budgets and will help keep prices for bread and bakery products at an acceptable level, – it says in the message.

The press service clarified that the decision approved by the Prime Minister is part of a set of measures to reduce food prices, which was prepared on behalf of the head of state. previously wrote that a number of products will rise in price after Vladimir Putin’s instructions to freeze prices for basic food products. These are bread, pasta, vegetables, fruits. This opinion was expressed by experts. Thus, economist and entrepreneur Anton Lyubich believes that the decree on freezing prices will lead to a shortage of cheap products, since the authorities will set prices for goods below the level of economy class.
