The first batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine was delivered to Bolivia

Bolivia has received the first delivery of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus infection. This was announced on Thursday by President Luis Arce, RIA Novosti reports.

The head of the South American state personally took part in the process of unloading containers with the drug, which was delivered from Buenos Aires, where the mass vaccination of the population with “Sputnik V” had already begun.

According to the Bolivian President, doctors will start vaccinating residents of the first nine departments tomorrow, January 29.

Recall that in early January, the Bolivian authorities registered the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, the drug was approved without additional clinical trials in the republic. It is expected that up to 5.2 million doses of the domestic vaccine will be delivered to Bolivia.

Prior to this, the vaccine was also registered in Argentina, Venezuela, Serbia, Algeria and Palestine.
