The first batch of military aid from the United States arrived in Ukraine. The cargo weighing more than 90 tons was delivered to Kiev, the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine reported.
The plane flew to Ukraine on the night of January 22. On the page of the diplomatic mission on Twitter, it is noted that the consignment of military aid contains ammunition for the defenders of Ukraine on the front line.
The US embassy also said that the United States last year provided Ukraine with military assistance in the amount of more than $650 million.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow was calling on Washington to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine. The DPR later noted that Kiev was preparing for active hostilities.
