The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada who showed an indecent gesture was temporarily suspended

Former member of the pro-presidential Servant of the People party, Geo Leros, has been barred from participating in five plenary sessions because of an indecent gesture towards the head of the President’s office, Andrei Yermak. Pavel Frolov, head of the subcommittee on the Rada’s regulations, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

He noted that the Regulatory Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine unanimously recommended to deprive Geo Leros of the right to take part in five plenary sessions for his obscene actions in parliament.

On November 4, Leros publicly insulted Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy and the head of his office from the podium in the session hall. Rada speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk reprimanded him. Subsequently, Leros turned off the microphone. For this reason, the parliamentarian showed an obscene gesture towards the President of Ukraine and Yermak, and then left the rostrum.

Earlier, deputies of the parliamentary faction from the Servant of the People party appealed to the regulatory committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, demanding an assessment of the behavior of the non-factional deputy Geo Leros.
