The senior coach of the Russian women’s biathlon team, Mikhail Shashilov, has named the composition of the Russian team that will compete in the relay race at the World Championships in Slovenian Pokljuka, TASS reports.
Tatyana Akimova, Evgenia Pavlova, Svetlana Mironova and Ulyana Kaisheva will perform for the national team.
The men’s and women’s relay races at the World Championships will be held on February 20, the day before the end of the tournament.
Earlier, Russian biathletes completed the 15 km individual race at the World Championships in Slovenia without medals. Svetlana Mironova became the best of the Russians, finishing fifth. The race without medals was the sixth in a row for athletes from the Russian Federation.
Recall that in connection with the sanctions of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the Russian team competes at the World Cup without state symbols.
Today it became known that the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) will have to pay 300 euros for the production of the team flag for the World Championship in Pokljuka.
