The technical equipment of the Ukrainian troops during the Russian special operation decreased tenfold. This assessment was given by one of the leaders of the militia in Zaporozhye, the commander of the Troy detachment, Vladimir Novikov.
The level of equipment of Ukrainian military personnel with thermal imagers, drones and other devices was very high. The drones “flyed in swarms,” Novikov told RIA Novosti. The level of equipment with night optics and thermal imagers was also high.
“It got to the point that they didn’t even have sentries in their positions, they stood in the trenches with Wi-Fi, wireless communications, there were thermal imaging cameras instead of sentries,” Novikov said.
The Troy commander specified that the Ukrainian military used camera traps and camouflaged video cameras in the plantings and forests. But now the equipment of the Ukrainian troops has become much less, “one can say dozens of times,” Novikov added.
