Close relatives of Russian citizens will be able to obtain visas to visit Russia for up to one year in a simplified manner, reports TASS, referring to the statement of the head of the government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at a cabinet meeting.
The Prime Minister explained that amendments will be made to the relevant law.
As specified, we are talking about spouses, parents, children, brothers and sisters, grandfathers and grandmothers, as well as grandchildren of Russians.
Foreign relatives will be able to obtain long-term private visas valid for up to one year on the basis of a written application from a Russian citizen. Also, the requirement for foreign citizens to leave the Russian Federation every three months will be canceled to maintain the right to obtain a visa.
According to Mishustin, such changes will create more comfortable conditions for relatives separated by borders. In addition, it will make life easier for those who want to stay in Russia, because they will have more time to apply for a temporary residence permit or residence permit.
Earlier it was reported that in Russia a simplified procedure for obtaining citizenship was launched.
