The government will allocate more than 5 billion rubles for the purchase of high-performance Russian oxygen concentrators. This was stated by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin.
He noted that Russian medical institutions began to feel the need for oxygen due to the increase in the number of hospitalizations. A similar situation is observed in 50 regions of the country, Mishustin added.
“More than 5 billion rubles will be allocated for the purchase of oxygen concentrators with a high capacity of over 1,000 liters per minute,” he said.
According to the Prime Minister, the delivery and installation of the concentrators will be paid for from the budget.
The head of government instructed Health Minister Mikhail Murashko to conclude agreements with the regions on the supply of devices as soon as possible.
Earlier, Mishustin announced the need to reduce the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia during non-working days.
