The Russian government will additionally allocate 28.3 billion rubles for payments to families with children. The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet.
The funds will be directed to monthly payments to families raising children aged three to seven years. Currently, they provide about 2.7 million people. In 2021, 276 billion rubles were allocated for this support measure. Additional funds will be attracted from the government reserve fund.
Also, Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of 5.9 billion rubles to families raising three or more children. At the moment, the budget provides for more than 59 billion rubles for these purposes. More than 620 thousand children with many children receive the payment, and thanks to additional funds, another 48 thousand children in such families will receive support from the state.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to consider providing benefits to residents of the Far Eastern Federal District for a third child to purchase housing. The Cabinet of Ministers must submit a report by November 1, 2021.
