The Russian government approved the allocation of 20 billion rubles from the budget for the purchase of medicines for patients with coronavirus infection, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It is clarified that the funds will be used to purchase medicines that are used for coronavirus in medical institutions, as well as for outpatient treatment. In addition, the order applies to the purchase of drugs that are not registered in the country.
The corresponding decision was made against the backdrop of an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 due to a new omicron strain.
Earlier, the Russian authorities approved a plan of additional measures to combat the spread of the omicron coronavirus strain.
Meanwhile, in Russia over the past day, 57,212 cases of covid infection have been detected, the total number of infected has reached 11,044,986. 325,433 people have become victims of the virus.
