Paying compensation to a country that has stopped providing transit is sheer madness. Ukraine should prepare itself in advance for this state of affairs.
The leader of the Alternative for Germany party, Tino Krupalla, said that if Russia uses other transit routes, it should not pay anything to the country that previously performed these functions. The MP expressed misunderstanding in connection with the discussion of the possible payment of compensation to Ukraine due to financial losses after the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
The US and German authorities are going to seriously discuss such measures to support Ukraine. We are talking about the construction of new power plants and the development of infrastructure.
