On the territory of the Ufa Arena, from September 18 to 20, 2022, the All-Russian competition of professional skills “The Best Truck Driver” was held.
The organizers were the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Research Institute of Road Transport, the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Administration of Ufa.
The main goals of the event were to popularize the profession of a truck driver, improve professional knowledge, and form stereotypes of safe behavior among road users.
The Republic of Bashkortostan was not chosen by chance as the venue for the competition. The region takes an active part in all-Russian industry competitions of professional skills. So, this year, a specialist from the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Sterlitamak Trolleybus Administration” entered the top five drivers in Russia. The experience of the republican competitions among drivers and conductors held annually by SUE “Bashavtotrans” also helped.
More than 50 participants from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Ryazan, Surgut, Yoshkar-Ola, Nizhny Novgorod and 20 more cities of Russia fought for the title of the best truck driver and a prize fund of 1,000,000 rubles.
Competitions were held in two categories: up to 10 tons (GAZ, KAMAZ vehicles) and over 10 tons (KAMAZ vehicles). The test participants demonstrated the level of professionalism when passing along a special route, theoretical training and knowledge of the rules of the road at the training base of the Priority driving school. A separate criterion for evaluating drivers was the “Fragile Cargo” test, which requires the skills of the most careful driving.
The awarding of the winners took place on the territory of the Congress Park, within the framework of the International Congress “Transport and Construction”.
At the closing ceremony, the winners and participants of the competition were awarded by Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alan Marzaev, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Automobile and Urban Passenger Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Sergey Semenov, Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alexander Bulushev, chairman of the jury of the competition, deputy chairman of the organizing committee of the competition, general director of OAO NIIAT Alexei Vasilkov and director of FBU Rosavtotrans Valery Kulikov.
In the category up to 10 tons: 1st place and 300 thousand rubles won Alexander Klimov from the city of Lipetsk. Vyacheslav Kolosovsky from Cherepovets took 2nd place, his prize is 150 thousand rubles. 3rd place and 50 thousand rubles went to Nizhny Novgorod with Stanislav Kuzevanov.
An additional special prize of 300,000 rubles in the “High-speed maneuvering” module for the category up to 10 tons, held on GAZon NEXT vehicles from the partner of the competition, the distributor of the GAZ brand, the Modern Transport Technologies group of companies, is divided as follows: 1st place and 150,000 rubles – Sergey Andrianov from Yekaterinburg, 2nd place and 100,000 rubles – Alexander Gaas from Moscow, 3rd place and 50,000 rubles – Vladimir Bolotov from Ryazan.
In the category “cars over 10 tons”: 1st place was taken by Sergey Andrianov, a native of Yekaterinburg, he won 300 thousand rubles, 2nd place and 150 thousand rubles went to Petr Mikhailov, who lives in Surgut, 3rd place and 50 thousand rubles received by Anton Volokhov from Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia.
“The best truck driver” in the category “vehicles over 10 tons” Sergei Andrianov is not the first time participating in the competition. The most difficult thing for him was excitement. Sergei wishes everyone: “Always believe in yourself, do not stop and do not give up.” When asked whether he was ready for such an end to the competition, he says, “I was ready! I went to win!”.
