The authorities of Kazakhstan announced the introduction of restrictions due to “omicron”

The Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan reported that due to the emergence of the Omicron strain and a sharp increase in cases of COVID-19 infection, additional measures have been introduced in the republic since Friday, Interfax reports.

It is reported that the presence of a “green” safe status is necessary to enter the mall, trading houses and retail chains, sports and fitness centers, yoga centers, swimming pools, saunas, baths without restrictions on the mode of operation.

“Green” status means the presence of vaccination, PCR test with a negative result, made no more than seven days ago. It is also available to people who have had coronavirus in the last three months.

Earlier, WHO announced a new record for the number of cases of COVID-19 in a week – more than 15 million people, which is 55% more than a week earlier. The day before, a record 1.35 million cases of infection were detected in the United States.

At the same time, the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, did not rule out an increase in the daily incidence of covid to 100,000 people or more, including due to the “omicron”.
