Statues are one of the most popular types of city decorations. They are dedicated, as a rule, to some well-known figures.
But the talented 3D artist Benoit Laprei once wondered – are our favorite characters in comics, films and cartoons not worthy of being immortalized in sculpture?
It was then that the man, together with a team of like-minded people, re-decorated the streets of his native Paris (France), replacing the old statues with completely new and very unusual ones – of course, we are not talking about a real replacement, but about digital art.
Benoit and his friends did a job that many considered ingenious – the sculptures perfectly fit into the surrounding reality.
It seems that while walking around Paris, townspeople and tourists can take pictures with statues of Batman or, for example, Shrek.
