The Ministry of Health of Belarus said that the localized Russian vaccine against coronavirus “Sputnik V” could begin to be produced in late February – early March. This was announced by the head of the ministry Dmitry Pinevich, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, Minsk and Moscow are “at the exit of the process” of localization and production of ready-made vaccine forms at Belarusian pharmaceutical facilities.
The minister specified that it is planned to produce the vaccine at the Belmedpreparaty enterprise. It has the necessary production base and scientific potential, said Pinevich.
Recall that clinical trials of the Russian drug began in Belarus on October 1. On December 21, the drug received a marketing authorization. The first batch of Sputnik V arrived in the republic today, December 29.
