The source told TASS that the Spartak football club decided not to challenge the imposition of a fine from the RFU ethics committee on the team owner Leonid Fedun.
In August, Fedun accused the judges of mistakes after the first round of the RPL and announced that he would remove the team from the tournament. A few days later, he changed his mind, noting that Spartak would leave the tournament at any time, “if the referee harassment continues”.
In September Fedun was fined 200 thousand rubles. Spartak's management planned to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to challenge this decision.
According to the source, the club has now received the motivation part of the RFU decision and is going to pay a fine.
Note that Spartak is now in second place in the championship standings.
