State of emergency: Sergei Puskepalis died in a car accident


Actor and director Sergei Puskepalis got into a fatal accident.

Honored Artist of Russia died in an accident. Sergei Puskepalis was 56 years old.

The accident happened today at about 12:00 on the M8 highway in the Rostov district of the Yaroslavl region. Puskepalis was in a Ford Transit car. The car collided with a truck.

The impact hit the side of a minibus with Vologda license plates. They don’t survive after that. I saw one covered body lying on the pavement. Rescuers worked. Maybe someone else got it. As it turned out, the driver and passenger of the Ford Transit car died on the spot. The truck driver is now in the intensive care unit of the Rostov hospital.

Sergey Puskepalis was born on April 15, 1966 in Kursk. His father is Lithuanian, his mother is Bulgarian, originally from the Moldavian SSR.

The actor became famous in 2006, when the film “Simple Things” was released. In it, Sergey’s partner was Leonid Bronevoy. Puskepalis also starred in the tapes “How I Spent This Summer”, “Life and Fate”, “Metro”, “Battle for Sevastopol”, “Icebreaker”, “Frostbitten Carp”, “New Christmas Trees”, series “And in our yard …” and many others.

Since 2019, he has been the artistic director of the Yaroslavl Drama Theater named after F. Volkov.

Since 2015, the actor has visited the DPR, he was friends with its leader Alexander Zakharchenko. Recently, Puskepalis gave away a film festival award to wounded servicemen.
