State Duma deputies to test Russian vaccine against COVID-19

Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel said that some deputies had become volunteers to test the Russian vaccine against coronavirus.

So, according to Volodin, as part of an experiment to test a domestic drug, some representatives of the State Duma will be vaccinated.

At the same time, according to the chairman, those who are the least protected should be vaccinated first of all, who need vaccination by age, diseases or other criteria.

Let us remind you that the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, and the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky have already been vaccinated.

On September 9, Russia launched the post-registration phase of clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine, developed by the NF Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry with the support of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

As previously stated in the Ministry of Health, the mass vaccination of Russians against coronavirus infection will begin as the production of the drug increases and the results of its post-registration studies appear.

Meanwhile, the first batches of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 began to arrive in the regions.
