Sputnik V vaccine may be registered in Mexico

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is awaiting registration of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Mexico, Paraguay and Pakistan, RIA Novosti reports.

The drug has already received regulatory approval in a number of countries: Russia, Belarus, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Bolivia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay and Turkmenistan.

Hungary became the first EU country to vaccinate the population with the Russian vaccine.

Earlier it was reported that the presidents of Russia and Mexico, Vladimir Putin and Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, discussed by phone the issues of organizing the supply of Sputnik V to Mexico and the training of specialized Mexican medical specialists in Russia.

The leaders of a number of Italian regions also called for the use of the Russian vaccine.
