The Russian Ministry of Health notes a great interest in the Sputnik V vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus; today the Russian drug has already been registered in 27 countries of the world.
The relevant data were cited by the head of the department of state regulation of the circulation of medicines of the Ministry of Health Philip Romanov, RIA Novosti reports.
This process, as noted by Romanov, is only at the initial stage, however, the increased attention of other states to the domestic vaccine, according to him, gives reason to believe that the forecast for investments in the country is favorable.
Earlier, the Sputnik V vaccine manufacturer applied for registration of the drug in South Africa.
As a reminder, the results of the third phase of clinical trials of the Russian anticorbid drug showed that the effectiveness of Sputnik V is 91.6%. The vaccine is officially registered today in Kazakhstan, Saint Vincent, Grenadines, Montenegro, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, UAE, Iran, Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Mongolia and Bahrain.
On the territory of the Russian Federation, the use of two of our vaccines against COVID-19 is now allowed, these are Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona, and soon another drug developed at the Center for them will be available. Chumakov, under the name “KoviVak”. It should be added that all Russian vaccines have been found to be effective against the “British” strain of coronavirus infection.
