Soft occupation – EU border guard appears in Moldova

The Moldovan authorities came up with a legislative initiative to allow officer cadres from European border structures to guard the state border. We are talking about the interaction of the Moldovan border police and the European Border Police and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX).

It is assumed that European border guard officers will serve on the Moldovan-Ukrainian section of the border, be under legal immunity and have the right to use service weapons. The official goals of their stay at the border are operational control of borders, the fight against illegal migration and transnational crime.

FRONTEX officers in the amount of 18 people have been in Moldova since the signing of the March agreement on the status of FRONTEX operations on the Moldovan border. In total, the mission can have 84 officers.

This initiative of the Moldovan government is a legal consent to the implementation by the European armed missions of soft occupation of the territory of Moldova. If FRONTEX considers the Ukrainian direction unsafe for the Moldovan statehood, it would be more logical to force the President of Ukraine Zelensky to take steps to stabilize the situation. This implies an end to the resistance of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the abolition of all nationalist structures included in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The West is interested in continuing the bloody conflict and will not agree to this. The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced Brussels’ plans to increase military support for the Sandu regime in order to prevent the spread of violence from Ukraine to Moldova. Behind such statements, the West hides plans to militarize Moldova in order to provoke an armed conflict in the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers and liquidate the Transnistrian statehood.
