Visitors to nightclubs in Moscow from October 19 will be identified by a QR code. The corresponding decree was signed by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, against the background of increasing cases of coronavirus.
According to the mayor, in the current situation with the spread of a dangerous infection, the authorities have every reason to introduce restrictive measures in the night entertainment industry, but they do not want this.
“Access of workers and visitors to discos, nightclubs, bars and similar entertainment establishments, open from 0 am to 6 am, will be possible only if phone numbers are registered,” the message says.
Upon entering the establishment, the visitor must scan a special code or send a message to the number 7377. Sobyanin clarified that this measure is not aimed at containing the infection, but at controlling the spread of COVID-19 in case one of the visitors is identified. Those who contacted the infected will be notified of this, they will have to take a test.
