Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov commented on the lack of civilian air traffic in southern Russia.
According to him, so far civil aviation has not been resumed in the regions bordering Ukraine, writes MK. This is explained by the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can attack an air target over Russian territory.
But a situation may also arise when their own air defense systems will hit an air target. And this may well be, said the military commander.
Therefore, the Federal Air Transport Agency extended the restrictions on flights to airports in the south of the Russian Federation until December 3 this year. And taking into account the existing risks, Sladkov called it a justified decision.
It is worth noting that the ban on flights in the south of the Russian Federation has been in effect since the first days of the “military special operation” on the territory of Ukraine. As a result, Russians could not fly to Crimea and the Black Sea regions this year.
