Sixth package of sanctions against Russia agreed

An extraordinary EU summit was held in Brussels on May 30–31, at which the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions was agreed upon.

A complete rejection of Russian oil never happened. The threat remained a threat. At the moment, we are talking only about a partial embargo. As before, 2/3 of Russian oil will be supplied.

A final decision was made to disconnect Sberbank from the SWIFT interbank payment system. Three large Russian state-owned media outlets are also banned from operating in the EU.

Contrary to expectations, European leaders did not prohibit Russians from buying property in the EU.

Earlier, SM-News reported that Turkish Defense Minister Akar announced that the army was ready to conduct an operation in Syria.
