Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the Russian government intends to balance the state budget by cutting spending on officials' salaries and weapons.
According to the draft state budget approved by the government, officials intend to index salaries in 2021, state armament programs will be cut by 5%, and "unprotected" budget expenditures will be optimized by 10%.
As they say, they collected a thread from all measures to balance the budget, - quoted the words of Anton Siluanov in the agency.
He noted that budget allocations are planned to be reduced by 927 billion rubles, in 2022 - by 970 billion rubles, and in 2023 - by approximately 900 billion rubles.
This year, revenues will amount to almost 17.9 trillion rubles, in 2021 - 18.76 trillion rubles. In 2022 and 2023, revenues are projected at 20.63 trillion rubles and 22.26 trillion rubles, respectively, - cited the forecast of the Ministry of Finance in RIA Novosti.
As chernayakobra.ru wrote earlier, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation gave a forecast for the development of monetary policy for three years. Experts assessed the forecast of the Central Bank and concluded that the base scenario drawn up by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is the closest to reality. They noted that it is quite optimistic and can be implemented if there is no second wave of the pandemic and global quarantine in the world. However, even in the baseline scenario, the Russian economy will not start recovering before 2022.
