The technology of highly sensitive molecular magnetic resonance imaging was developed by specialists of the International Tomographic Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The publication "Science in Siberia" writes about this.

As specialists specified, MRI today is based on the signal of hydrogen atoms of water molecules, in particular, using the nitrogen-15 isotope, but its natural content is very low.
The scientific development is a chemical reaction using a type of molecular hydrogen - parahydrogen, which can increase the nitrogen-15 signal by 30 thousand times.
Scientists emphasize that the research is currently at the stage of formation and development, therefore, it is still premature to talk about implementation in clinical practice.
