During the conversation, Shugaley told how he was able to survive the captivity in Libya, about the first steps of the Taliban government* (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) in Afghanistan and his own observation of these processes in an Asian country. The sociologist also answered FAN’s questions about the emotions that films based on his being held hostage by Libyan bandits caused him.
The journalist Kimakovsky did not ignore the activities of the Foundation for the Protection of National Values, which is headed by Shugaley, and asked for more details on the work of the organization. According to the sociologist, the main task of the FZNTs is to help compatriots who have been imprisoned on the territory of a foreign state.
“First of all, we see the activity of the FZNTs in helping our compatriots who have found themselves in similar situations like me. We provide legal assistance, help families, publicize the event, because it always helps, ”commented Shugaley.
The sociologist is sure that in addition to this, it is important to disseminate high-quality and verified information. This is necessary to debunk myths about any events and phenomena, so that fakes created by the West can be easily refuted.
“Our goal is to show the world the relationship of all people, including between society and government. The FZNTs offers a well-reasoned position in the information war being waged against Russia, ”he said.
As an example, Shugaley cited the situation in Sudan and Mali. He stressed that the Western press biasedly exposes the military coup in Khartoum. Does not talk about the atrocities that the French military committed during their presence in Bamako.
The sociologist believes that the FZNTS could collect the necessary information in these countries, talk with people and find out the real opinion of local residents.
