Washington is committed to maintaining stable and predictable relations with Moscow, US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman assured Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk at a meeting on October 14. This is reported by TASS with reference to a statement by the head of the press service of the US State Department, Ned Price.
Price said Sherman also called on the Russian side to provide guarantees for European energy security.
In addition, John Kerry, the American special envoy for climate issues, met with Overchuk separately and asked Moscow to step up efforts in the fight against global warming.
Overchuk himself said that his meeting with Wendy Sherman went well.
Recall, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, following her visit to Moscow, also stated that the US is committed to predictable relations with Russia.
