The Alma-Ata police are searching for seven people who went missing after the outbreak of riots in the republic, the Almaty Tragedy Telegram channel reports.
According to law enforcement officials, since January 4, 22 people were officially listed as missing, of which 15 people were found.
“The whereabouts of the remaining seven people are being established. In all cases, search cases have been opened, operational search activities are being carried out, ”the message says.
Recall, on January 2, protests were held in a number of cities in Kazakhstan against the background of rising fuel prices, which in a few days turned into riots and pogroms.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic is investigating almost 500 criminal cases based on the results of mass riots in the country, about 50 of them were initiated on acts of terrorism, another 15 relate to murders.
