Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that he plans to ask the Russian side for an agreement on the annual supply of three billion cubic meters of gas for a period of ten years.
The Serbian leader announced this on Tuesday on the Happy TV channel.
He noted that he is planning a working trip to Moscow on November 24, and on November 25 he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Vucic, he will have to negotiate with the head of the Russian Federation on the price, volumes of gas supplies and the duration of the contract.
Serbia is currently receiving Russian gas at $ 270 per thousand cubic meters. The contract expires at the end of the year.
Earlier, Vucic also expressed gratitude to Russia for its support during the coronavirus pandemic.
