Representatives of Russia, Germany, Ukraine and France will hold a meeting to prepare contacts in the Normandy format. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The German leader noted that he, along with French President Emmanuel Macron, “repeatedly tried to set this format in motion.”
“And we are very pleased that soon the negotiators of all four countries will meet together again and begin preparatory talks,” he said.
At the same time, Scholz did not specify the level of the negotiators.
Recall that the last meeting in the Normandy format at the highest level took place on December 9, 2019.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak held talks with foreign policy advisers to the German Chancellor and the head of France. He noted that the parties agreed on plans for further contacts, including the organization of meetings at the ministerial level in the Normandy format.
