The Ministry of Health of San Marino has approved the use of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V, reports RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
As specified, the registration of the drug took place under an accelerated procedure.
The RDIF noted that the Republic of San Marino became the thirtieth country to allow the use of the Russian vaccine.
Previously, this drug for the prevention of coronavirus infection was approved in Gabon and Uzbekistan.
Recall that in August last year, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation registered the world’s first vaccine against COVID-19 “Sputnik V”. Results of the third phase of clinical trials showed that the effectiveness of the Russian drug is 91.6%.
More details about why the vaccine from the Russian Federation is becoming more and more popular in the world is described in the material AiF.ru.
