The former president of the country, Mikhail Saakashvili, was earlier detained in Georgia.
The circle of ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili reported that he had been in his homeland for four days already. A representative of his closest circle Eka Kherkheulidze told the journalists about this.
According to her, Saakashvili had previously visited Kutaisi, Batumi and Tbilisi.
Literally on the eve of the arrest, the politician was on the territory next to the government office in the capital of Georgia. And the next day he was taken into custody.
“He has been here for four days, and the authorities did not have any information,” Kherkheulidze noted, adding that this very fact is “more terrible” than anything else.
Earlier, a video was published on the Internet where a smiling Saakashvili is being escorted.
