Russia’s patience over Western actions is coming to an end – Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia’s patience with the West’s actions has come to an end, RIA Novosti reports.

During a press conference, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia “harnessed for a very long time”, and now it’s time to go. According to Lavrov, the Russian side is waiting for the West to “respond specifically to the proposals.”

Earlier, the head of the Russian department said that in the coming months, NATO could begin to build up forces near the Russian Federation under the pretext of aggravating the situation in Ukraine.

Recall that this week a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council was held. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called the negotiations unsuccessful, as differences were recorded on fundamental issues. In addition, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the organization will not compromise on the expansion of the alliance in the east. The politician called the deployment of troops in the eastern part of NATO in order to protect allies a “key right” of the alliance.
