Russian vaccine against coronavirus sent to regions

The first batch of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V (Gam-Covid-Vac) has been sent to the regions, RIA Novosti reports.

As part of the pilot delivery, the logistics chains for delivering the vaccine to the constituent entities of the country will be worked out, as well as the distribution and organization of vaccination of citizens who are at high risk.

Recall that earlier, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation registered the world's first vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19, developed by the Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry and Manufacturing and produced jointly with the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

The day before, the Russian side also confirmed its readiness to supply the Sputnik V vaccine to the countries of Latin America.
