Russian athletes won the relay race at the European Luge Championship in Sigulda, Latvia.
The national team included Tatyana Ivanova, Semyon Pavlichenko and the crew of Vsevolod Kashkin / Konstantin Korshunov. Their result was 2 minutes 12.833 seconds.
The second place was taken by the Latvians, the bronze went to the Germans.
Thanks to this victory, the Russian luge team won an unofficial medal standings, in its asset – two gold medals and one bronze.
The German national team is in the second place, and the Latvian toboggans are in the third place.
Earlier on Sunday, Russian biathletes Ulyana Kaisheva, Svetlana Mironova, Alexander Loginov and Eduard Latypov won the mixed relay at the World Cup in Oberhof, Germany. They won with a score of 1 hour 8 minutes 21.7 seconds.
