Russia’s Daria Kasatkina defeated Czech Maria Bouzkova in the final match of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Melbourne.
The meeting ended with the score 4: 6, 6: 2, 6: 2.
Kasatkina, 23, won the WTA for the first time in 2.5 years. She last won the Kremlin Cup in October 2018.
In total, Kasatkina has three WTA titles. She twice reached the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournaments. Today, the Russian woman is the 75th racket in the world.
Note that the prize fund of the tournament in Melbourne was 235.2 thousand dollars.
Earlier it was reported that Russian Kamilla Rakhimova and Indian athlete Ankita Raina beat Anna Blinkova and Anastasia Potapova in the final of the WTA tournament in Melbourne in doubles.
