Sergei Ryzhkov, head of the National Center for Nuclear Risk Reduction, said that as part of the implementation of the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence and Security Building Measures, a Russian group of inspectors would conduct an assessment visit to a British military installation, Krasnaya Zvezda writes.
It is reported that the event is scheduled for January 18.
“Such assessment visits are carried out to verify information about the military forces and plans for the deployment of major weapons systems and military equipment. During the visit, the inspectors will visit a UK military facility at its normal peacetime location,” he explained.
Recall that in accordance with the Vienna Document, the OSCE participating States exchange information on military forces and major systems of weapons and equipment, as well as on defense planning.
Earlier, inspectors from the Russian Center for Nuclear Risk Reduction visited a military facility of the Slovak Armed Forces.
