In the regular championship match of the National Hockey League (NHL), a scuffle took place between Russian hockey player Nikolai Knizhov, playing for the San Jose Sharks, and the American forward of Minnesota Marcus Foligno, RIA Novosti reports.
The incident happened at the end of the first period of the meeting. During the fight, the rivals struck each other several blows, and then Foligno broke the Russian’s nose, the referees soon separated the athletes.
It should be noted that for 22-year-old Knizhov, this fight was the first in his career in the NHL.
Earlier, at the tournament of the Polish organization KSW, the MMA fighter from Russia Shamil Musaev had a fight with the Slovenian Uros Jurisic, as a result of which he was fined 50% of the fee.
