The individual race of the first stage of the World Cup in the 2020-2021 season did not bring Russian biathletes a single medal. Gold went to the Norwegian athlete Sturle Holm Lagraid.

This biathlete ran 20 kilometers in just 48 minutes and 57 seconds, while shooting very accurately.
The silver medal was also won by the Norwegian, Johannes Be, he lost only 19.6 seconds, while he missed once, shooting.
Bronze went to German Eric Lesser, he ran for a minute longer and 3.6 seconds, and also missed only one.
