Evgenia Pavlova and Matvey Eliseev took first places in the pursuit race, which took place as part of the World Team Challenge Christmas race. The competition took place in the German commune of Ruhpolding on Monday.
Russian athletes were able to cover the distance in 33 minutes 6.4 seconds, two misses were made.
Second place went to German biathletes Francis Preuss and Simone Schemp, who were 7.1 seconds behind the Russians and had three penalties.
Third place went to their compatriots Denise Herrmann and Benedict Doll.
As previously reported, Pavlova and Eliseev became the winners of the mass start. By the way, they became the best in the Christmas race for the fifth time.
