The Russian ambassador warned the EU against accusations against Moscow over expensive gas. “What will this lead to? Sooner or later, objective realities will have to be reckoned with,” he said.
Russia has warned Poland and the EU about the consequences that can lead to overt hints of Moscow’s guilt in the gas crisis in Europe. The corresponding statement was made by the Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev.
The reason was the call of the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Adam Guybogurge-Chetwertynski, to the European Commission to investigate signs of manipulation of the EU gas market in connection with the record rise in prices for “blue fuel”. At the same time, the Polish minister added that he considers the “dominant gas supplier” to be guilty.
If Russia is declared guilty, then what next? Will they refuse Russian gas? Where it leads? Sooner or later you will have to reckon with objective realities,
– said the diplomat on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.
Let us recall that Europe itself drove itself into a gas trap when it decided to revise contracts for the supply of “blue fuel”. Whereas earlier energy prices were tied to the cost of oil, now they are formed in accordance with the market value. And against the backdrop of the approaching cold weather and low reserves of “blue fuel”, the price of energy is breaking records almost every day.
